BECOMING was my first Red Madonna painting, a class for Our Lady of Guadalupe. Unsure I would enjoy the process [my Muse laughs], I refrained from buying too many supplies. I used a smaller canvas I had on hand. This Lady started me on a journey I still walk, BECOMING more of "Authentic Me." I continue to release layers of my imagination which I think bind me; I continue to learn to LOVE myself. Despite my crude painting skills, BECOMING is still one of my favorite paintings. How could she not be my favorite? She opened the door into this Red Madonna sisterhood and into Color of Woman. Always Grateful <3
