One of Mary Ann’s Hearthfire Conversations got me musing about how I miss connectivity to the image of the Great Mother. A few days later I painted with my two little nieces on one of my work in progress-canvases. They had so much joy using their small hands to apply loads of colors and suddenly appeared this bright yellow and orange half-circle there, looking like a halo. And so the Red Madonna emerged not only in my painting process, but more and more in my life. I love seeing various pictures of Her and studying Her-Stories.
